Smeatharpe Airfield is situated in the Blackdown Hills approximately halfway between Honiton and Taunton, about four miles northwest of the junction between the A30 and A303 trunk roads and 1/2 mile southwest of Smeatharpe village. The access point is at the southwest corner of the airfield, adjacent to the car speedway track.

It is preferable to contact a Committee member (see Contact List) before visiting the site for the first time as the gate is kept locked to prevent unauthorised access. If making a casual visit to the site then you can park your car by the access gate and make your way to the flight line by foot.
Club members have access to the site at all times.

Flying is permitted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. throughout the year, apart from a few days in the year when local car clubs use the runway for motoring events.
